Basically I tested this spell on my rat, it hit and dealt no damage or request a fortitude save. All that came up was the range attack saying that it hit.

Did you attempt it on something aside from your familiar?

Happened to me a while back when I played Breston. Its the only Orb I tried admittedly, so I don't know if it happens with the other ones.

This works on hostile targets.
