yo people hows it goin! My cuz recommended this game and so now im here! Seems pretty cool.
any ideas on what i should do to prepare for efu? im going to start playing on thursday :) anything i should do before i play? I already read up on the rules by the way just wondering anybody has any advice
The best advice, I think, is to jump right in and play! Especially if you're familiar with the Forgotten Realms setting, some kind of exploratory concept (for example, an adventurous apolitical swashbuckler) will let you experience all different sides of the server.
Also, never hesitate to ask anyone for help if you're confused about something!
Enjoy your stay, yo.
ok! thanks for the info ill try my best but im going for wizard any tips on that? an elf wizard! I play DnD with people in real life so i got rollplaying down i hope if its not too different here
ok well i guess for starters lol is there anything spiecal like from the arelith server anything with alchemy and the sorts? or how about rituals for clerics lol.. anyway to play subraces? im going to be reading the forums for new players section but if you have anything i cant learn from there please do tell me lol :D
There is actually an alchemy system that rewards dedication and diligence by unlocking more and more powerful items that can be made with an infinite number of deterministic recipes. You can read about it here:
http://www.escapefromunderdark.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44355
It does not disappoint, I guarantee it!
thanks man im reading up on it right now as soon a i finish this post
that system is pretty epic looking ill be sure to try and find many mixes in game with my guy he will try and seek as many mixes as he can honestly
Welcome to EFU:A!
Good luck, have fun. Try to stick to the advice offered by numerous NPCs. Try to make friends with other players and mimic them until you get the hang of things.
Wizard is pretty easy if you use spells to make the guys in front tough and keep yourself invisible the rest of the time. It's a good strategy until you know what you're doing.
Thanks people! Ill be sure to interact with many people in game to get the feeling of the server. Ill be in game soon i hope just have to wait till Thursday! first guy will be named Gideon Seymour a elf wizard with a i think is was Ymphian cockatoo? or something like that and he will be a certain alignment "no spoilers lol" and have a very strong motive on the basis of magical balance making him willing to study good and evil magic alike :D no boundaries for him beside his own intelligent mind. He will be very young and unfamiliar in the world "as am i about this server" and i hope you will all try to interact with him so i can get the feel of the server and learn the way it works :).
Welcome to EfU:A, and enjoy your starting concept!
(The alchemy system really is awesome, so try it out.)
Fresh meat. [Licks lips] Welcome to EFU:A :D
Alchemists tend to get eaten by large planar beings. So while epic, focus on that in time. Biggest thing:
Use correct punctuation and spelling In game. Avoid explicitly modern words, and ask other people for help if you've got any questions!
Logging into mIRC channel EFU would be a good way to get to know the players.
Welcome.
[Troll=DRD]Also, DRD is amazing. If you play a Praxes groupie, you will be rewarded with shameless homosexual advances from Calculor[/troll]
On a more serious note, enjoy efu, it's a harsh server, but rewarding.
Welcome, and just as a warning you will die. Possibly quickly.
But fret not oh player, for that just sorta happens and over time you can find out some of the little things that keep you alive (like staying invisible in the corner) and will have boatloads of fun all the while.
And yes, I can not stress enough that you should send a pm/tell to older players or go on IRC and vocalise any questions that you might have.
A warm welcome from the EfU:A DM team. =)
Welcome to the server!
My best advise, remember it is just a game. Don't take things to seriously. Death happens, PvP happens.. it's all part of the game, if things get to be to much, log out and take a breather. Don't let the rage take over.. we tend to say and do things we don't really mean when we do.
Otherwise, have fun. It's not worth playing if you're not having fun.
Ok sure will everyone thanks for the advice and the warm welcomes ill be sure not to get mad over death and PvP. Im going to try out IRC and see how that is..
IRC is fool of tools, trolls, and tolls who disguise it as a troll.
Fear it, revere it, embrace it.
Try not to bleed on the rug. Otherwise, welcome!
