Title: Divine Damage and "splat" effect
Post by: Egon the Monkey on November 17, 2008, 11:39:57 AM
Yesterday, in the Trog Caves with al enemies dead, my PC was hit for 10 Divine Damage by Someone, accompanied by the "splat effect" of Rotten Fruit. A message on /dm confirmed it wasn't a DM triggered event. Another player also mentioned it had happened to him recently.

LOL, maybe someone misses the mad furniture quest so much he tries to kill folks with rotten fruits instead of chairs and tables.

This happened to eliff, too. I have seen the effect in one place before, but I cannot post it because of major spoilers.

Can a DM PM me and ask?

You could PM the event to A dm instead of asking a DM to pm YOU

And now, it happened again, but for 18 damage, and almost killed me just after I'd been raised. Can we either get this sorted or if this is an IC event can it be set to only happen with a DM around to provide hints on what it IS?

Is there a rogue DM going around hitting people with invisible divine rotten fruit?

I think I have seen this bug today as well! After completing the Observatory quest and as we were splitting the loot, a PC in my group got hit with 5 Divine Damage after I casted light on myself (but that is likely just a coincidence) and it was like the splat effect of rotten fruit.

It's a conflict between when a regular scripted consumeable is used and some other thing we recently implemented is fired. Should be fixed, next update.
