I thought this quest was really original. It would be even better, though, if the identity of the boss wasn't immediately given away by the title of the area and journal entry.

An unexpected reveal would make this quest that much more better in terms of quest design.

I haven't tried this quest yet, but if the name and journal entry were changed, would it really matter after you took the quest for the first time?

No, but it would matter the first time. As a returning player I can confirm how important the "HOLY SHI-" effect is when seeing something new for the first time.
