Title: So what do you do when your exiled?
Post by: Optimistic on October 02, 2011, 05:57:54 AM
My player group was exiled when i wasn't around, apparently, which includes me. Cooldbeans, but uh, what do I do now? Should I roll an ALT while I wait for people I can interact with to log on?

No. Play your exile.

It can be frustrating to be exiled because it can be hard to find players.

However, EFU:M is arranged in such a way that the vast majority of those who leave town will go through the Crossroads, so that at least provides a reasonable bottleneck for you to find people to interact with.

Additionally, you would have to check the exact terms of the exile.  If you're merely exiled from the town proper, you may be able to be by Muskroot's tower, a huge meeting place.

It depends on the situation.  But being exiled is sometimes a huge relief from the politicking!

Or, hell, make an impromptu alliance with the druidfolk.

It's also an opportunity for you to explore the server, to try to make things happen in other places, or simply to try to get your bannishement lifted IG...

I've possibly played the most exiled PCs in EFU, no joke. And they've all maintained their interest for me. You can make a side PC, there is no shame in this. But perhaps running around the wilds and causing a ruckus is the most fun of all. Those fucking bastards exiled you, Make em pay!

Or, you can idle at the crossroads and seem reasonable and amiable to everyone leaving to get your exiled lifted. Seems good to me.

So people know:

Discretely moving about Mistlocke's outskirts when you're exiled is likely fine...especially if you aren't seen. Idling about in plain sight or announcing meetings on the Mistlocke map likely isn't a good idea since once you pass the gates in the Crossroads you're technically in Mistlocke.

As far as being exiled goes, it doesn't necessarily mean you're hunted, depending on the crime, so being in the Crossroads and looking for people, for instance, likely won't be a problem in most cases.
