mIRC wants me to register and it's not letting go! Now, I only get the 'Exit' option instead of the 'Continue' option, no matter how often I reboot mIRC. Anyone's got a fix that will help me get around paying? Will reinstalling it work?

I remember an article from The Onion that I can't find anymore. It was something like "mIRC announces third registration" after already having been around for ~10 years. Anyway there are plenty of free alternative IRC clients out there.

Yes I know it's satire. The joke being no one really needs to register, they just click "Continue" at the nag screen.

I prefer HydraIRC. It's worth checking out, and doesn't nag you with silly registrations.

Also it has snazzy custom slap emotes.
