Title: Imal Seid, Battle Chaplain to the Wyrm Watchers
Post by: Jayde Moon on December 10, 2011, 08:38:07 PM
(http://www.fantasyorigin.org/pikshers/EfU/Imal/Imal.jpg)

Imal Seid was the first PC I conceptualized in EfU:M that I actually stuck with.  He was the result of my desire to continue pushing myself mechanically, in this case a frontlining cleric instead of the buff/heal cleric that I had been more comfortable with.

I enjoyed playing him immensely and it was rewarding to be able to take part in the various quests and activities as an active citizen of Mistlocke and as a prominent Wyrm Watcher.

Shout outs to the Wyrm Watcher crew, to the DMs who continue to amaze me everyday, and to the players who create this thriving and dynamic setting for us to play in.

And now to the meat of the thread:

Early on in Imal's Watcher Career, plotting with allies

Bold and foolish, plunging in a portal brought consequences

We were the bait, but our rescuers were taking too long.  The Witch ponders if maybe they have given up... meanwhile, she's getting hungry (this was awesome fun, BOM)

To the point of creepy stalkerish

Course, Imal was a good lookin fellow in his own right and had stalkers of his own

War on the Mist Ogres was a common enough occurance, a fine and worthy opponent for Tempurian Warriors

The POWER of TEMPUS enabling our heroes to defeat the Orc Tribes of Oogey Boogey Brah.  Just after this, Imal slayed the Orc Chieftain and was repaid in the form of six fireballs to the face.  Hint:  Even Greater Insulation doesn't save you from that.

Noob on Noob, both of them lost

The Reaper of Corpses wasn't down there

Action Shot, Kerewin Jora.  The Reaper was not hiding in the Tumor, though

We thought the Reaper might be in there... but then we went home

Still not the Reaper

AND THEN!!!

Core took pity upon the Hunters and threw us a bone.  The Reaper had been found and a way to defeat him was at hand!

Not a Tempurian's way to strike down a non-combatant, even if it's a troll.  In exchange for its life, it granted us entry into the Bog Witch Ryqhahdhsh's (or whatever random letters Core put together for a troll name) chamber.  Apparently a cock shares many characteristics with keys.

The Troll opens the portal

Fighting the Bog Witch...

...and claiming our prize, a secret weapon that would destroy the Reaper

After the trolls, we fought a f-ton of Giants and H'bala critters, and a mass of people died when we finally got to the two *spoiler spoiler spoiler*.  We could not reach the Reaper unless one of us gave ourselves up to open the way.

Imal enables the Warriors under his watch the ability to access the Reaper so that they might slay the creature

In doing so he is brought before the Reaper itself.  Then, like a boss, he forgot that the secret weapon was in his pocket :/

But regardless the way had been opened and the adventurers rushed in.  The secret weapon right there for someone to take and use

Then, standard epic boss fight shenanigans, lots of running in circles, running back and forth, healing, stressing out, people dying aka Good Times

More shenanigans, and in the end the Reaper was destroyed

In the Aftermath, the Harem of Tempus brought his body back to the Hearth

The end of Imal's Watch, his pyre to light the way for the King

I really enjoyed playing Imal.  Core and Derfo ran an amazing adventure and allowed me to bring closure to Imal instead of just letting him fade away as a retired PC.

Good Times and I look forward to seeing everybody IG from the other side of the screen!

Big ups, EfU!

So sad to have missed the end of this epic character.  I'm glad to have been one of the "Harem of Tempus".

Have fun on the flip side, and don't kill to many of us in the first few day's... K?

Clearly I thought this character was dull and drab, which is why I've chosen not to comment till now.

Or awesome, if you prefer.
