Add a door bell of some sort to the clan halls so that way if a player wants to meet with one of them he can simply click on it which will notify any in game clan members that there is someone visiting their estate. Wouldn't hurt to do this for the other faction HQs as well.
Conclave has this, don't know about others.
Don't really understand how a doorbell will tell someone in the upperdark that someone is ringing their doorbell in Mistlocke. At least the Conclave are all MAGIC AND MYSTERIOUS.
I'd rather keep things simple as they are. Want to talk to someone of the clan? Make a sending you're coming, knock on their doors. No one answers? Send a letter and ask for a meeting.
These sci-fi ringbells messages can be difficult to RP without breaking the immersion.
A change doesn't seem necessary as indicated in the above post. I am unsure how the old Stygian bell system worked since I never ended up with a stygian concept prior to the fall of Nebezzdos. It could well have been that the Conclave was responsible for setting up the Styigan's bell as well, to have it function much like their own magical bell.
Maybe, if someone wants a magical doorbell for their clan hall, they can beseech the Transcendent Conclave to have one installed!
Its not a bad idea. I have seen it work on other servers. Helps the factions out some and it is a choice by the player to notify the faction.
Not needed but would be a bonus.
Conclave and Watchers have this. Mustermen can be warned when reporting to a NPC. Not sure if the clans or others really have a specific need but it's certainly discuss-able.
My intent behind the suggestion was to make it easier for PCs to meet with members of respective clans without having to make a sending every time. Since the Muster and Enclave have them I don't see any reason to exclude the clans from having one. If you want to put limitations on it; make it so only clan members with in Mistlocke can hear it.
Minor factions such as these do not require it.
