OK, though I still feel I'm in a "beta" stage on this, I'm releasing it to all y'all so you can talk trash and help me make it better. :P Every once in a while I get to share with you these little projects that allow me to improve my skills in various formats, with EFU as a helpful motivator. Well this one is no different! However, with this project, any budding or current web designers/developers in our community can join in the fun and contribute! Make your own, collect them all, share with your friends!
What I've got here is a custom stylesheet that you can apply on your client web browser, to give EFUSL some flavor. This is possible only on Firefox and Google Chrome, at the moment, and is completely client-side. In the future (once I feel this has moved past beta) I will create an easier distribution/installation method. This prototype style is proposed as the first Murdertown theme.
To make it work, install the Stylish plugin for your respective browser:
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/
Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fjnbnpbmkenffdnngjfgmeleoegfcffe
Then, download the attachment to this post that applies to your browser (mtown1_ffox.txt or mtown1_chrome.txt) and follow the instructions below:
Firefox:
1. Go to Add-ons (Firefox button>Add-ons OR Tools>Add-ons)
2. Select "User Styles" on the left.
3. Click "Write new style".
4. Give it a name ("EFUSLMurdertown" or whatever you like).
4. Open up mtown1_ffox.txt and copy all text.
5. Back in the New style window, click on line 1 in the big box and paste what you've copied.
6. Click Save.
Chrome:
1. You should have a little icon in the top right of the browser that sports a capital "S". Click on that, and select "Manage installed styles".
2. Click "Write new style".
3. Give it a name ("EFUSLMurdertown" or whatever you like). Make sure you check the box just below that says "Enable".
4. Open up mtown1_chrome.txt and copy all text.
5. Back in Chrome's Add Style tab, click in the big "Code" box and paste what you've copied.
6. Beneath the Code box, click on the button that says "Specify".
7. Click the drop-down that says "URL" and select "URLs starting with".
8. Just to the right of that, enter http://www.escapefromundeath.com/efusl/
9. Click Save on the left.
Now you're ready to go! Whenever you visit EFUSL the styles should be automatically applied, and should look something like the below:

I'm aware of some problems with load times, and Chrome has a much bigger lag than Firefox for this function, I've noted. I'm working on possible fixes for this.
Please report bugs and feedback, and thanks for helping out with my little project!
Looks good! It does take a while to load, but otherwise it's pretty great. It'd be awesome to see more of these.
This is awesome! I'd love to see more of these available. My only suggestion would be to use a different easier-to-read font for the character and player names. On a side note, I'm using Firefox and it loads near instantly for me. Great work. =D
Update
I'm going to be putting out a new one of these every couple days, and revamp the above Murdertown theme with improvements (as of this writing, Murdertown may not fully display properly with the code provided above). Feel free to send me suggestions for themes, as well as web-usable fonts and backgrounds for them. And for those of you that have been pressuring me to put time into finishing the EFU:M GUI, don't worry! I made progress and will slate some time to finish it soon.
Use the instructions above to install; here is the code for the Watchers theme:
The Watcher theme looks amazing. The only suggestion I would make is to make the font smaller or make it so it will size with the window. Right now the only time it displays correctly is if you've got your browser full screen.
Thanks, WWind! I've made adjustments to the font-sizing, and the text should now all scale to different zoom levels. The above files for Watcher theme are updated. ;)
Happy Easter! Here's an experimental theme for the Delving:
I get the error "11:378 Unknown Property '-moz-background-size' Declaration dropped." For all of them, copied and pasted them all from line 1.
Using Foxfire.
Ah.. nevermind, its working.
More pictures please.
<3 keep it up Diz-e ... they're wonderful
OK, with the new chapter, I've made a new theme. I present to you EFUSL "Underdark1":
^Please read the instructions in the OP for use. Chrome users: please note that the prefix URL for the server has changed to: http://www.efupw.com/efusl/
Looks grand.
Very stylish indeed!
Though I think I'm going to favour the bland functionality of the vanilla EFUSL rather than adapt to your wondrous works. I'll trial it for a few days and let you know what I decide.
By request, I've added a version with smaller font sizing.
Switched over to the smaller text version of the Underdark theme and have seemingly adapted to it.
Thanks, Diz-e.
Wonderful.
Pretty neat, I can add this to the Downloads sticky in Information for New Players if desired.
This is really amazing! Thanks Diz-e!!
Glad everyone is enjoying it. When I have time to mess around I'll probably code up some new ones... feel free to send your ideas for different themes!
Very nicely done! Thank you.
Hello friends!
Imageshack is no longer hosting the background image for this (what a surprise), so I thought I'd do an update for those of you who were still using it, and perhaps a heads up for those of you who haven't tried it yet! I also created another edit with a different color scheme. So behold Underdark1 in old school blue, or Underdark2 in new forum purple:

I can't believe that I've been completely oblivious to this for years... Nicely done.
