possible rogue perk?
Sniper: Your ability with a bow is deadly.
1st - Point blank shot
5th - Called shot
8th - True Strike 1/daily
This, or some form of it, seems like a grand idea!
Some perks like the knifemaster only for bows and crossbows would be nice. Maybe weapon spec with the chosen weapon and a random set of arrows each reset, instead of Damage Immunity and some darts.
Giving a rogue PBS and CS for free though may be a bit strong. The idea itself is good, though! Then again.. I am biased. >.>
I think ideas could be taken from the halfling warsling sniper PRC, which I always loved with a passion.
Knife throwing is way more classy than archery for a rogue to be honest. I don't think they even make that good of archers in EFU compared to other classes.
Going to have to disagree here, if anything a fighter perk for archers makes more sense as 99% of archers are rogues or ranger/rogues already. Unless you take archery to the next level with arcane archer, rogue is probably the best class for it anyway. Sneak attacks provide much needed damage and combined with stuns etc is deadly. Not in favour, especially not 1/day true strike.
This sounds awesome, I am all for it
With these abilities you could make it a perk for most any class. Ranger would be a prime candidate. Fighter would be okay as well, though they get enough feats to make it without this perk...
[shrug] Just a thought.
Maybe True Strike only to be used when wielding a ranged weapon...
Even then it's pretty tough. At that level you can jab 3 arrows a round into someone's back with added sneak attack damage. That's like two fireballs with no save.
Well, without GSF Div its just a +10 ab. So it's not that impressive.
It's a sniper. Maybe find a way to re-balance it with some small spot bonus would be nice. You need spot for those precision blows, picking out targets from a crowd, and calculating attacks at targets at long distances usually beyond the weapons intended range.
