So, I was thinking. As awesome as +3 hide and move silently is for a sorcerer, wouldn't something similar to the old totem warrior perk be a bit more fitting and on par with the power of the other perks. Perhaps +1 fortitude and will saves IN the wild to replace the hide and move silent bonus or +10% movement bonus in the wilds? I sort of see what was trying to be done but I just don't understand the logic. I think something wilderness themed would fit better for a tribal shaman.
...You're saying +1 fortitude and will and 10% movement speed increase would be better in the wilds?
I like my hide/ms thanks.
No, sorcerer stealth is absolutely amazing.
no i mean one or the other
Oh! Okay, yea. I'd like the option to take +1 fort and will and 10% movement increase. Sounds cool
Huh? I suggested replacing the hide and move silently bonus you get at L1-L2 with a +1 will/fort save in the wilds or 10% speed increase, like the old pathfinder or totem warrior perks. I though my post was pretty clear, lol. I suppose not. Anyways, seems a bit more tribal themed since tribes are in the wilderness normally, and less in cities. The hide and move silently is OK I guess, but seems onyl good if you devote you entire build that way and gear, while the other backround perks offer much more without such, which was what I thought the backrounds were for to add more without having to do a super specialized build.
There's a lot of H/MS sorc gear knocking around, but sorcs are always hurting for skillpoints on account of being a 2 SP class without Intelligence as a mainstat so they never use it. Needing INT, CHA and DEX makes stealthing far harder than on a wizard.
The rest of the stuff is pretty cool even withotu the H/MS. I'd consider making stealth viable to be a bonus on top of the other cool stuff.
I just find it a bit silly you need to devote you build to it if you want any of those low level benefits. I like the rest of the perk alot, I just find it lacking in the 1st tier, perhaps even giving it the ability to rest in the wilds with only a bedroll?
L1/2: Rest in the Wilds with only a bedroll, 3/day Charm Animal
L5: 10% DI fire/ice/acid/lightning, 10% speed bonus in the Wilds
L8: Animals don't attack you, +2 wisdom
i think this is on par with the other perk backrounds and much much more nature/tribal theme than focuses on a halfling stealth build character
