I am new to the server but when i creat a character i crash when i try to look at the weapons while picking starting gear and there is no Portal to the Ziggurat. i was hoping someone could help me out or let me know if i am missing something, but i do have all of the expansion packs.
Try turning off shiny water in the video settings, this has been known to cause client crashes seemingly at random even when water is not fully visible. As for the missing portal, I really couldn't help you there.
First off, let me welcome you to the server. Hope you'll have a good time!
If the portal has gone missing, I am sure it will be restored to working order in no time by our fabulous DM crew now that they are notified.

unfortunately im still having the same problems. so because im new i dont have any overrides but i did buy the complete edition, would that effect the game?
Message me on any of my characters should you find me in the playerlist.
(It can be brought up using the P on your keyboard, or clicking the most down right button below your character portrait!)
While I don't have DM powers I'll whip up a new char and guide you through it. See if it's a visual bug or maybe you're looking in the wrong place!
I imagine any player online'll do the same though, so don't wait for me should I not be online.
I've noticed if you don't have some overrides for servers it can make you crash
Do you crash on login, or after you move around a bit - and can you see the portal to the Ziggurat yet? It may help identify the problem by people more proficient than I.
i only crash when i try to look at the weapons in the store, and i know the portals are supposed to be at the north end of the dock and i've held tab while looking for them but there just not there so im not sure its a visual bug as far as the portals go because even when i click around on the north end nothing happens im not sure but i think the entire portal is missing. so are there any mods required? or overrides?
You don't need any overrides to play efu. So I would imagine this is an issue with your graphics card.
Try turning all the graphic options to minimum.
The last time someone had this problem it was due to the fact that the "Complete" version people buy from certain online stores isn't actually version 1.69. It's 1.69 with extras which seems to cause issues.
You'll likely need to find the 1.69 critical rebuild patch in order to clear it up.

Portal has always been there and looks like this is fixed. Locking.
