Just a thought I had, with the upcoming Way attempt (which I won't be accompanying, my last UD PC bit it to a Guardian spawn from out the portal).

I've seen a few PCs get up to the surface, but many of them seem to have died to just stupid stuff like spiders in the webbed woods/Random Panthergankings. The sort of bad luck fugueing a surface PC could get over.

Since the surface PCs now have levels and equipment comparable or often better than the UD ones, can any Underdarkers who make/have made it up have the respawn block removed? It would be a lot more interesting if the old PCs could have a better chance up here, especially for any PCs interested in the history of Sanctuary or how to get past the Way (if they are mad enough to try and punch INTO the UD).

Agreed.

Now EFU:A has caught up in regards to levels and loot, i'm not sure there is any need for the non-respawning penalty.

Far as I know, This is already implemented. Once you escape you can respawn again. The people who /did/ escape got bored and perma'd, or were FD'd, or were just retired from boredom.

Also; When is this apparent escape attempt?

Hm. too think I sparked the coming of this new escape attempt.... hmph... I think if I'm lucky enough to survive this attempt, then I'd be very put out to die to some puny spider and then be done with it..

If you think you will die to spiders then you should not even bother trying the Way.

Surviving the Way and then dying to spiders just seems a bit far fetched.
