Title: Windows 7 issues
Post by: Bobbybrown on June 18, 2012, 06:02:51 PM
I can get my game to work on Windows 7, but it crashes randomly at times, and it is very annoying, it even cost me some xp once >.<. Anyone have some advice? Also I can't skip past the intro movie without it closing the game if i don't let it finish which is a real pain after i crash.

Right click on the NwN shortcut icon and open it as the administrator. Then SPAM your left mouse button to skip through the intro.

delete the intro files from the movies directory in your neverwinter nights folder.

It gives the windows error with the program?

Make sure you have all the nwnmain.exe and such original and shortcuts runnings as administrator, and in xp sp 3 compatibility mode.

This little trick is great.  Eliminates start-up crashes and speeds up relogging as well.

You can also add under display options in the NWN.ini file: Disable Intro Movies=1

This way you don't have to delete them.
