Title: Has anyone tried NWNCQ?
Post by: River Walker on August 26, 2012, 03:29:22 AM
The link is here (//%22http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=hakpaks.Detail&id=7848%22). I just installed it, and this is what it makes the Mistlocke Market Hall look like:

Ohh yeah that. I tried it before. It does a nice job not only at the textues, but it smoothens the angles too, like those of cavern walls or hills. It takes a lot of space though, but if you have enough, it is worth it!

However, I wonder if it would have conflicts with the EFU's current hakpaks...

EfU doesn't have hakpaks, technically. Just overrides. I wonder the same thing though.

It does conflict with the overrides, and as I noticed last night after I installed it, some of the EfU overrides are far superior for this setting to the ones in NWNCQ. Specifically, I've noticed that the Forest tileset from NWNCQ adds a lot of trees with no walkmeshes that just make it really hard to navigate.

Once I figure out which bits to remove, I'll see about uploading a package that doesn't conflict with EfU's overrides to the Vault.
