The reward is... lame, and that is an understatement. We fought tons of Mist Ogres, a sub-boss with 20+ab, and a boss who was simply ridiculously hard to kill. I believe the trog invasion that followed gave a better reward.
Someone probably skimmed from the reward then.
Some of the one shot stuff that drops on that quest is really quite nice indeed.
i think the equipment needs looking at, only really the gear. The weapons are fine but for instance the chainmail is only like +1 ac with +2 vs cold or something, maybe give it 5 cold resistance or something or some dmg resistance since tbh this quest is the hardest quest atm.
Yeah the rewards on it isn't great. The gold's pretty decent though. I just think that the potion drops should include higher end potions since it takes them to beat this very hard quest. I'm speaking of potions like haste, displacement, shielding and critical healing.
