Chand arrived in Mistlocke dirty, beaten, dazed, and lusting for adventure. It didn't take him long to find kinfolk, as is normal with Hins.
A budding friendship formed with the first hin he met, Terigrin. They shared their passion for adventure and complimented each other very well. Teri was a Stalwart sword of Avoreen. A straight arrow. And Chand was a Scamp to the core. Chand made sure Teri had fun, and Teri made sure Chand didn't do shit to goto jail.
They became brothers shortly after, when they fought side by side.. under supplied, outmatched, no healing in a foreign world to get from the Eyrie back to Mistlocke. A journey that nearly killed them both and made them the closest of friends.
Chand joined the Relic Hunters almost immediately. It was a chance for adventure, gold, and glory. It was through them he got his real first start. Good gear, friends, contacts, etc.
It wasn't long after Rob died that chand got approached by a very well connected and highly secretive association. They wanted his eyes and hands. Assets he never hided his willingness to use. Nobody trusted Chand with their gold. He even cut legionairres purses on occassion. For fun.
He used this new fellowship to gain leverage for sponsorship into Caermyn. Giving him a solid ear on the pulse of.. well, almost everything. HE then fell into, by accident, a very nice sized pile of loot. So he sold it. And got really. Really. Really rich.
That was when he learned what power money could buy. In less than two weeks he'd make 20+ thousand gold, and bought favors and recognition all over. He went from portal rat and cutpurse to Merchant Lord and Master Merchant in less than 10 days.
He was saving to get himself and some of his friends off the island, and contributed well over 10,000 in goods and gold to the cause.
Very well played. I'll miss Chand and I hope his death leads to a lot more great story telling for everyone involved!
Organized Choas! Chand was a very interesting character and I truely enjoyed interacting with him. As I got to know your character IG, I especially liked all the layers to him. Goals and counter goals. I look forward to your next character.
And the loan-savy consumer once more comes out ahead!
