So pretty much here's the basic premise; You are hired to basically go on an expedition to one of the many small islands sorrounding Ymph to look for possible treasure and whatnot. During your trip there your ship is at risk of being attacked by pirates and other predetors of the sea. The islands themselves would be semi randomly generated meaning it would be different experience every time and what you would find there would be a mystery meaning either it would be a peaceful visit or a possibly quite a dangerous one which adds a layer of unpredictablity to it. Assuming you survive and find a specific item of sorts you sail back to Ymph and get paid. What do you guys think?
A great idea. But would need a lot of effort put into fleshing it out.
Cool idea. Reminds me of the randomness of Kants which made it so enjoyable.
Wasn't something similar to this created by Howland in Archipelago?
Random encounters/maps in quests has been done in the past so I don't think scripting it would be anything new, so it would just be a matter of building it. That said, I like the suggestion.
well lets hope it gets implemented than as a quest sometime in the near future :)
would be awesome.
