Title: Brewing Potions of Any Kind
Post by: granny on December 31, 2012, 06:51:32 PM
I am quite new in the art of potion brewing and most recently I discovered that you cannot brew potions of any kind... It'd be really nice to be able to brew potions of diverse spells for many purposes.

It'd be interesting if you were able to give other names to them as well (sometimes making them harder to be indentified by someone you wouldn't want to).

The ones removed from the system, such as true strike and shield, were removed for balance purposes.

Potions of Fireball are an amusing execution method I suppose. Adds new meaning to Lethal Injection

Have you tried Alchemy?  These sort of things can be created that way.  Just gotta figure out the recipe! :)

Sadly I don't think a potion of fireball is an option in Alchemy.

Which is a downright shame.

pff, alchemy making it viable or not, it'd be nice to be able to put a dire wolf into a bottle! and to make charm potions (aka love potions)!

Potion brewers who curse their potions (via the spell) and then cast their own spell on it making said potion cast its original effect as well as the spell's effect could be interesting. Though Cure Serious with Displacement and Haste with Divine Favor and the such would be overpowered. Hell, even if you kept it to hostile only, Greater Insulation with Fireball would be overpowered. I think keeping it as is is best. You can make nearly anything you could imagine through Alchemy and Herbalism.

hell, no, valo!
you overly complicated it, rofl...

it's just label a fireball potion as cure light wounds potion

even so, I would be happy enough if I had a way to make charm potions for this concept
