Title: Medium Armor and Rangers
Post by: Seanzie on January 25, 2013, 06:45:43 PM
I suggest we implement that rangers get Ambidexterity and Two Weapon Fighting when they attach Medium Armors. But still lose the other RangerBonuses. Don't 3.5 rules do this?

In 3.5, Rangers do not have Medium Armor Proficiency.

Edit: But you are right in that they lose their combat styles when they equip medium or heavy armor.

The actual suggestion, that he has gotten wrong, is that chain shirts be made into light armor like they are in 3.5.

which is unfortunatly completly impossible or someone would've done it already

Bizarre idea

Maybe if you went through the module and gave every single chainshirt ambidexterity & two-weapon fighting and made them Ranger-only.

Yeah, terrible.

It's possible to add temporary attributes to items, perhaps make it so that whenever a ranger equips a chain shirt the feats Ambidexterity, Two Weapon Fighting, and OUB Ranger are added to it.

Let's stop beating around the bush. People want Chainshirt because it's 4/4.

3/4 leather armors with +1 AC

Problem solved.

No, no.

People want Chainshirts because they're often 4/4 +1.

I don't really think this is worth implementing.

Rangers are incredibly powerful as it is.

I am getting a little tired of seeing suggestions that seem self serving or are intended to make leveling up even easier on EFU.

Please take time to think through your suggestions before you post them, as to not waste our time, or the time of your peers on fruitless discussions.
