Please allow those with ranks in wilderness survival (5 or 10?) to rest without a bedroll. Consider how much of the server takes place in the wilderness, and how challenging it can be to go on long expeditions without resting several times. Consider also just how many non-nature classes get involved with nature groups, and how well this would allow them to stick together.
I think the skill already boost your meat/hide getting skills.
Fairly certain Sir Plum is correct.
I can confirm that it does not.
It does
Well. Colour me an idiot. EFUSS removed the points I invested in WS and I didnt notice.
If you die sometimes the points will be removed, even beyond what you might have lost from the previous level.
Role-play perks aside I think it'd be much nicer if it offered some ability to rest or actually SURVIVE in the wilderness, as opposed to turning in hides to NPCs that a character stuck out in the wilderness may not be able to access. It'd make it more useful to outlaws and nature PCs without druid/ranger levels, rather than low level fighters who kill deer for potion money.
Perhaps a 'chance' based on skill to be able to rest without a campfire?
It can be used as a point dump for free resting, everything has flaws. If anything it should be resting in the wilds without a fire with a bedroll.
wilderness survival boosts your success at hides/meat. this is a huge way to get potions and to a lesser extent, money.
seriously, until you go past lvl 6, you can hoarde some useful potions with wilderness survival. i think trading in furs also gets you something if you're in a faction.
wilderness survival is a tremendously useful skill already.
Let it warn you 6 hours before it'll rain and again 1 or 2 hours before it rains :)
That would be way too overpowered.
Think of the druids getting their call lightning ready for battle right on queue.

I can attest to the fact that it is sometimes used for flavor only, having a PC with a 10 in WS that wouldn't skin or cut meat off animals. So, giving it some other perk besides carving up animals would be nice, (
whatever that may be).
Wilderness Survival also factors into the tracking ability.
