While I'm thankful for the JPan addition in the standard #efu channel, I feel that in the individual channels (for example #Treehuggers, #Stargazers, #Order) it is not a value add and simply becomes an unneeded distraction.
My suggestion is to remove it from the individual channels and simply keep JPan within the regular #efu channel.
Or even better, it could be removed from the channel Treehuggers and added to #Brood!
I for one know id like it in this channel.
I like it in the private channels because you're less likely to miss a sending since there is often less chatter there. Though I suppose everyone will have a preference.
JPan is a tad spammy in the individual channels, maybe it just feels more spammy because of the format the new sendings take they "stand out" of the normal chat less.
I'm not particularly a fan of JPan in the Delving at least =(
You could always create a channel called #Sendings for Jpan to idle in, in addition to the main channel, so if people just want to see sendings they can opt into joining #Sendings
I think having it present in individual channels is a bit excessive.
Having it channel special sendings/messages which are group-specific might be useful, though (eg. world tree sendings in #treehuggers, gongs and doorbells, etc.).
I think having it work before making suggestions on improvement is best ;) It gets kicked or stops making sendings everyday :(
1) remove it from the private channels
2) Add it to #sendings, mute all players
3) ???
4) PROFIT!!!
Yeah, I'm more concerned with JPan working than I am with limiting which channels it appears in. We can throw it into every channel on the server if it means I can !seen again and not have to look around for the bastard whenever he's dropped.
I am sure you can see many things if and when Johannes has time from his actually paying endeavours to look into it.
