I'll be blunt and say this character was a huge step outside of the comfort zone for me. A traditionalist who avoided PvP in pursuit of an overarching storyline of betrayal and long term intrigue, I endeavoed this time to develop a concept I have always wanted to see played out on EFU.
The Elven Fanatics of the EV I long considered a missing link to EFU's fun. The answer to the neutral and typically withdrawn Delving, the sporadic and often abused Stargazers, and the ever pursued Half Orcs. Elves who would, in all shape and form, destabilize and disrupt the day to day activities of humanity.
Using the Commander Perk to try and utilize a militaristic command style I was privileged enough to lead caravan raids, bombings on Mistlocke, suicide operations, Assassinations of a variety of PCs ranging from low to high profile, and ultimately create a fervor in which saw Elves and Humans put on a larger scale of conflict.
Malicious Poisonings, raidings of Slaver keeps, public assassinations in taverns, public abductions and murders in the street. PCs I had never even met, who were unaffiliated with the struggle, being beaten down or maimed simply for being elven and the same race as me.
I am pleased to say I was able to achieve this goal but not without a cost. Such PvP is not for me, and FDing PCs is something I had some severe struggles dealing with in the early going as PCs were ended. It just felt so crummy ending people's story, though I tried to keep things IC and moving forward so such deaths were not in vain.
I had some great moments with a variety of PCs spanning a great deal of scope.
Sadly I never achieved my two goals of blowing up the Mistlocke Bridge or eradicating the Mist Wraiths from Ymph.
But when you take on as many people as possible, in bloody and brutal attempt at a coup in which the entire extermination of humanity is pursued with a handful of dedicated Elfglorious Bastards...
