Hiya, I'm new to the server although I did spent some time IG already and played with some of you and enjoyed it immensely (I am playing the halfling Merrick Treetall). I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of the server and its players and secrets.
I am in the GMT+1 TZ but my playing times are very unstable. I've noticed that IRC is used quite a lot in communication with other players and the team but I am very much untouched by this form of communication so I would appreciate some pointers on how to use it properly.

Welcome to efu, as for IRC it's an odd beast all it's own. Know that when / if you log in pay very very little mind to the Trolls and most of what people throw around in there.
People use IRC in a lot of different ways. Some just camp out, which is logging in but never really saying much if anything. Some come to chat with other players about little to nothing to do with the game. Yet others only use it to contact DM's and Players when needed. So as you can see IRC can be used in just about any way you would be most comfortable.
