Title: NPC's unaffected by wild mage
Post by: Pandip on April 01, 2013, 06:03:29 PM
I don't know if this is a bug so much as it is a suggestion, but is there any way to make it so that wild magic affects NPC's the same way it affects PC's? Or, at the very least, could the AI of the NPC's that spawn in these wild magic affected areas be changed so that they don't use potions and whatnot, as I imagine they understand the potentially grievous consequences of not doing so? Otherwise, PC's have to take the risk of getting hit by a random fireball whereas NPC's can drink hastes and shields and all sorts of other nasty potions with impunity.

As much as I would like to agree with this, npcs waste potions like nothing. Also if you're playing a melee character this is pretty much instant death for you.

NPCs should be affected by wild magic, and at one point were. In what areas are they not?

Noticed this at the Caermyn camp in the Conclave ruins area. It's possible there was a pretty substantial amount of luck involved, but I saw about 4-5 Caermyn mercenary or worker NPC's chug down 2-3 potions apiece and nothing happened.

My bad! Thanks for checking.
