When I use the Summon Earth Elemental Ability on the Moleclaw Gloves It summons the Elemental, however it Uses points from my Summoning Pool which as a Barbarian I do not have. The Elemental is then immediately dispelled.
Yes I have had this happen on my fighter as well. It instantly disappears right after you summon it.
Only true casters can keep those types of summons on this plane.
Yes, I am unsure if it is a bug, but it has been this way for a while, only people who are able to cast a summoning spell (whether they have the spell) can use them to summon.
Believe this happens with animate dead items as well.
