Title: Order Favor Points/Remove Curse
Post by: PanamaLane on April 10, 2013, 02:38:00 AM
Self serving suggestion, sure.
How about giving Footmen treatment for points?
I'm thinking a Blackhearth NPC.
Fits the setting.

They should be withered. Out there on the frontlines, fighting the good fight.

Making a penance quest that's on the difficult side to do in return might be cool.  Other than that I kind've like the desperate withering men look.  Maybe something like the Rite of Absolution mentioned in the keep?

If it's just a points trade though, I'd say nah.

While I agree withering men might fit the rest of the setting, it seems to me that the Order would be rather fanatical about beating back the cruse in its own members especially. Usually this is accomplished by a PC cleric, but clerics come and go within the ranks of PCs.

Unless i'm just horribly mistaken, its actually quite tough for members of the Order to get treatments from NPC's, as the usual places don't make much RP sense to visit. This creates a paradox where members should have lots of access to clerics, and treatment but instead have very few. Favor points would be a quick and easy solution to this without much work to implement.

I like your idea of a quest or some manner of task. A delivery perhaps between the recruiter and Blackhearth would be great and could be opened to  other PC's as well. This would also fit the model of religious crusaders battling daily with H'bala and the curse on the front lines, which PC's can visit for themselves.

Something is in the works I am sure. Give the DM team time. <3

I like my Order faction grizzled and withered.
