The Lathanderite faction is off and running, and we have a pretty good group of players doing a great job. I've really enjoyed the RP aspects so far, and it's just starting.
However, we really could use one or two Lathanderite paladins to join. Within the faction, there is a a subfaction of knights. Our little sect is the Company of the White Lance, commonly known as the White Lances. They are members of the Order of the Aster, and right now we only have one active and one inactive paladin.
I anticipated having about five paladins or LG fighter types, and hopefully a few other classes to make it a well-rounded faction. But that didn't happen. We have a great range of characters, but I'd love to see one or two more paladins hop onboard. I think my notice that you need an app to play a knight in this order may have scared some people away, but Howland informed me that this app is only for administrative purposes, and wouldn't be particularly difficult to get.
Fighter builds are welcome to join and become knights as well, and we are actively recruiting IG. But if you are interested in playing a knight and joining in, we'd love to have you whether you are a paladin or not.
Of course this is an OOC post, and it may not come to pass in the game that your character joins for a variety of reasons. But if you want to play a LG character and be enmeshed in plots right away, the opportunity is there.

Really, if you have ever wanted to play a really cool, classic undead bashing paladin this is a great opportunity to do so. We have some great players in the faction so far, some good clergy (if I do say so myself...) to really help with the doctrine and rhetoric/preaching....
We've gotten some real nice DM interaction, we have an NPC now... and we are getting hooked into some really cool plots on the server.
This is a real RP based faction, hopefully some very cool storytelling will ensue.

Do you have to be Lathandertite to join? What if a pc worships another good aligned deity but agrees with the organization's goals?
We're already talking that over and, while you probably cannot become a Dawnknight by title, we will have something else for you, and you can become a White Lance just the same as any Lathanderite.
