Something that'd be neat for rangers is for them to have a "player tool" ability they can use on mobs, npcs, etc... and if they fall into the category of their Favoured Enemy, they're able to tell so. I find it odd that a ranger who has devoted their life to hunting a particular foe can't distinctively tell when they're up against one.
Legit suggestion
Probably a good idea.
Seems like a good idea for multiple reasons. Maybe it wouldn't be too hard or time consuming?
It would have to follow a minor trust system due to possible ooc abuse

What abuse? I see no reason why a Ranger wouldn't be able to identify a member of the race they are trained to hunt.
#efuscripts go go go. Make stuff and we'll see about whether it's wanted or not afterwards. Don't worry about how to make it a player tool, just have it as an item script.
I think it's a fine idea. Likely would entail a few checks to deal with reservations that might show.
I was meaning it more as a ranger telling everyone in IRC kind of thing. Everything else is great about it and IG which is wonderful.
You can sort of do this with the Track system at the moment, as it will tell you their direction and creature type. If you can see the mob, then you can work that out. I still think the suggestion has merit as a quicker, more foolproof way to do it, but if you want to be able to do it right now, that's one way.
