The Half orcs and orcs are heavily abused races in the forgotten realms. While both "Me want SMASHIES" and ignoring your race entirely are valid portrayals of half orcs, they get exhausting after awhile. The ora tribe is an alternative to the normal portrayal of Half orcs, bringing a heavily [COLOR="DarkOrange"]mongolian [/COLOR]theme and feel to the race. This is a concept for both existing and new PC's- a few of us will roll together, but its a culture, not a bloodline, so anyone can adopt it. Originally a sun worshipping tribe, the ora are now left without their god or hope, and resent the other races for doing this to them. Expect Scimitars, challenges, omens, [COLOR="DarkOrange"]heavily [/COLOR]conflict with civilization, and mongolian flare words. More info will be given IC and in IRC, and feel free to pop in and ask questions: #Ora.
Feel free to roll any concept into the Ora- Any non-lawful Half-orc that doesn't talk with Me as a pronoun probably will find a place with us! It helps if they have wavering faith or a pre-bred distrust of the other races, though, but it is by no means required.

Ok- So it looks like Keats is rolling in with a shaman concept- And as a side note: I'd prefer if a low intelligence was represented in bad judgement and simple words but still reasonable langauge instead of "Me do this" or "Yous attack now?". Lets try to keep the language more accented then generic FR half-orc.

Prelude
Derfo has awesomely offered us a prelude in 3 hours or a little longer from this post. If you wanna join, have a suitable PC ready and be in #Ora to know when, I'll also post here when we're about to start. You can, of course, still roll late or early as a straggler, with no penalties, as we are an ongoing faction.
Dont buy anything from the starting area- only the prelude shop.

Anyone who wants to roll a native can easily play a straggler who barely made it out of the massacre at the cave with no disadvantage and meet up with us, or can of course, as always, roll a char to join us as a convert Ora, there are NO disadvantages to not being native.
If you've never played a half-orc before, why not try one with a unique take today?! (It's my first try at it as well.)
Just roll one up, even unrelated to this concept and we will recruit you through in-character developments!

While I'm not hanging out with this crowd (too smelly), I do think they deserve some more love.
If anyone would like to play a half orc there is a group still hanging in there to get you going IG. My PC, Ahlgan Khachakhan, is around find him IG. There are a few VERY PROMINENT POSITIONS available withing the faction that could greatly benefit any half orc PC that would like to join the Ora Tribe. All are welcome! I am IG most week nights 7p-12a CDT (GMT -5). If you play around that time and would like to be part of a PC faction find me IG.
