This is a proposal for a prelude which I want a few people to hopefully join me with. It can lead towards some sort of pc faction.
Premise: Natives of the island react to the arrival of the Sanctuary escapees. A small band of feral nonhumans, preferably halflings and gnomes, who worship various nature dieties, find a message in a used potion bottle that falls from the sky. The message, being crude drawings of the ziggurat and people coming out of a hole in the ground, compels the tribe to search it out and discover the meaning of life, or alternatively to kill everyone, that remains to be seen. In the meantime, comedy can ensue, but likely it will involve a lot of hunting and scavenging and exploring the wilds until we get to wherever we end up.
End result: I'd like to have a pc faction of "natives" who generally don't take well to the new arrivals. The natives can be stranded people who've been there a long time, or descendents of people who were stranded ages ago who have pretty much lost all sense of "modern" civilization. As a faction we really don't know all the secrets of the island except for maybe where some huts and hidey holes are. Complex wizardy high tech stuff, not a chance.

Long Term: Well i'd like some long termers but hey whatever works this at the very least will get me off the ground.

Hmmm.... well, I'm not officially signing up for this, because I have some possibilities going already, but it sounds awesome... feral halfling would be quite awesome. So... if you don't do it this weekend (I'll be at a wedding) I'll certainly at least try it out.
well lets keep in mind id like this to be new chars for people. They do not *have* to be keepers. Even throwaways can be fun and who knows you may come back to them at a later date. I used to volunteer for preludes to provide dramatic support or comedy, so its up to you. It prob. wont be this weekend since I would like to poke around with an already made char before setting out a brand new concept. im thinking next week

Witch Doctor Gnome coming right up, making it my third actually played gnome. (All my gnomes are teh best, AKA GNOMERCY, and Sir Eaten-by-Etorix).
