Title: Kobold quest, permanent slow effect.
Post by: Disco on July 24, 2013, 04:40:09 PM
I did this quest 2-3 days ago, when we were crossing the bridge I got slowed, how I dont know since it was in the middle of a big battle. Anyway that slow is still in effect now, 2-3 days (and resets) later.

If you were on the same quest that I was (Stein Woodsman), then this is probably not a bug, but a feature of a certain - very irritating - disease.

I was not. I did it with a pack of angry dwarves. Also I would asume that we would have been hinted of it, if we were made sick.

There is an IG cure.  It's not a bug.  Just a pain-in-the-ass.

So you are telling me that there is a disease that affects players without any sort of indication what so ever? And that it is "given" On the kobold quest?

No, that doesn't exist as far as I know.

There are some contagious diseases that can be caught various places (including from infected PCs) that cause movement slowness, but there should be indications that you catch it - as well as being able to be cured with cure disease.

I don't know what the issue here was.

Did you try a cure disease?  I have a feeling that's what happened.

I don't believe this particular disease gives you a "diseased" icon, nor does it change the color of your health bar. However, it does give you a save, and has a VFX when you originally catch it and a cure disease does work. If it happened while you were in combat it could easily be missed, though.

Ah seems I had the "Ooze sickness" And to avoide further embaressing situations like this, I suguest there should be given a regular hint to a player that he is sick :)

I think it tells you after you log in. There might be a delay period.

Closing anyhow as it is no bug.
