Title: The Arabelization of EFU
Post by: I love cats on October 04, 2015, 05:32:18 PM
I am tired of seeing PCS that have lived and been alive for ages. I remember an EFU when permadeath was common and it was rare to see PCS live such long lives. Looking at the player list I have seen too many PCS that were around after many months of having not played EFU. I feel like this has changed the nature of the server and is created a COA like server and mentality. Older PCs of course will have way more loot, and outsupply, and outgun newer PCS.

I propose that extreme measures be taken. PCS need to stop being so lenient in PVP and DMs need to reintroduce more permadeath quests and permadeath DM spice. This trend of a bulk of PCS being over 6 months old needs to be removed and shortened. EFU should not become like COA. I personally will do everything in my power to stop this and urge others including DMS to join me.

Very well, I'll be sure to remain in character and show no mercy when due, cat. =)

This post is completely ridiculous. Long-term PCs that are actively pursuing long-term objectives are fantastic for the server, as are more short-term PCs that tackle something challenging but fail. I'm sorry you don't like to see characters that you recognize, but just having some kind of arena server filled with short-lived flash-in-the-pan PCs would be incredibly boring and dull to DM for. Obviously perma-death has its place also, and we certainly have plenty of that in EFU and will continue to do so, but you're not in the position to evaluate such.

Your understanding of "how EFU used to be" is simply not correct.

Attacking other servers is totally against our rules.
