Spiders don't appear subject to AE, which seems strange considering that druids can wildshape into them and have them as companions.
it's how they are classified in NWN I believe
hard codded stuff. but any spider that happens to actually be a magical beast will be AE by you.
it would be nice if we got a perk for druids related specifically to vermin to get a feat called Vermin Friend, where he could deal with them crawlers.
... as it was done with h'balan undead in the past, I guess it would not be that hard to be turned unhostile to all populace of spiders accordingly to some perk.
Can it at least be coded so that they scurry away from druid-types rather than fight them like other animals?
Yes, this'd be preferable seeing as we've no leopards/deers/badgers ambling about anymore.
I've always felt that certain Druid concepts really would have a deeper connection with Spiders, even if it wasn't something available to all Druids.
It'd be neat if something could be implemented, perhaps similar to Granny's suggestion regarding a perk.

We could have this insane druid, who hatch this GIANT spider and uses it to crush the city! Waite it already happened? Oh...
I'd be for this, although messing with AI gives me headaches... so I'll let some other DM mess with this if anyone wants. And in the meantime I'd recommend stealth.
