That and, perhaps avoid being enslaved. Ezekiel's goals were very simple at first, to build a boat, and revive Gond (or at least find out where he went, if he wasn't dead). I tried to get groups of people into lower sanctuary and exploring the canal, and it worked fairly well. =]
Often enough, he would go on exploring expeditions and other events that called for help, such as the slaughter of a ring collecting goblin and a battle against hordes of umber hulks in a horrible nest.
He also met some interesting mushroom men:

However, in his haste to create and find Gond, Ezekiel took a very risky path, and ended up fulfilling part of his dream, though, not in any way he would have ever hoped.

While he managed to convince his captors to allow him to sail, their destination did not aid in any form of escape..., perhaps a few different choices could have changed this, but that's how things go some times. =]

In the end, he continues his work, much as he hoped to do, but not as he would have. A valuable slave, perhaps, but maybe the lakes and rivers of the underdark are that much more easier for everyone to sail now... or that more much difficult.
Awesome.
Lol good job. No one can quite escape murderbanditing duergar.
It was such a surprise when it all went down. Pretty cool ending, though!
Yeah, thought I'd have a chance to negotiate 'cause I had something they wanted. Not quite! XD
Well, that was a somewhat unexpected turn! Well done, hope you appreciated the whole event as much as I did, even if it led to your end. :)

Lol, he got what he wanted!
