Character: Hector Thorn
When leading a group to perform this quest the Silvered King did not attack the Core, thankfully DM Caster was present so we were able to finish the quest.
Also the Silvered King can become trapped by spawning inside the device. If you require any more clarification on certain points don't hesitate to PM.
