On two separate occassions, I have recieved the message that "You feel the maiden's curse affecting you at a rate faster than usual." This message came with one of the other red-text messages associated with the Withering, and didn't seem connected to any particular area or event apart from this. I never recieved any message of this kind in EFU:M, so am thinking this might be a bug.

Probably! But I never recieved them, on account of staying clear of the heavily withered areas. Randomly recieving faster withering in the underdark sounds weird.
I've gotten those too. Just figured it was something they altered with the Withering so it's something you still need to worry about in the UD.
Could be wrong though.
Those who drank Withered Kingsman's special brew would get that back at EFU:M. I suspect that it may have been triggered for everyone who's withered. Intentionally or not.
This is still an issue. Whenever I get the red-text withering "emote", there seems to be a chance - unrelated to my present location - that the Withering speeds up. Just had this happen to me twice within one hour, while standing in the middle of Sanctuary.
