The Ilmateri Priestess claims to remove curses for the low, low cost of 100 gold, but when I paid her, her spell did nothing to the curse on me. Maybe she means energy drain and not curses?
The dialogue choice may give a poor idea of what spell she will cast. But there are plenty other priests who can remove curses and none else that can remove level drain. I do not suggest changing this. Except maybe the words in the dialogue tree.
Remove curses cast by NPCs are indeed currently bugged because of our special system that causes small xp loss for the caster - remnants of the Withering Era. I don't believe we will change this back to no XP cost to fix the problem because we still have withered PCs from time to time. NPC remove curse cast will likely be fixed at some point but it is not on top of our bug fix list I wager. Truth to be told I actually like that curses are hard to get rid of so it may be that NPC remove curses may be reduced in availability, get increased price or removed altogether. Meanwhile you should rely on player cast remove curses which should work just fine and are more fun way to interact anyway.
That's fine by me! Only maybe change the wording of the Ilmateri anyway? It's a little distressing to pay a hundred gold to get rid of stat loss and have nothing happen in spite of it.
Yeah, I had the exact same problem .My suggestion perhaps might be to label what spell is being cast, though that might be too meta, but it would at least make sure we know exactly what we're paying for and decrease the distress as noted.

It worked completely fine for years on other npc clerics that cast it. I'm fairly sure it still does actually on one or two of them?
Remove Curse is supposed to be working fine if cast by NPCs on non-Withered PCs. If it's not the case, let us know.
