Title: Engineer Perk Update
Post by: el groso on August 31, 2013, 06:33:08 PM
This perk was designed prior to the existence of EFUSS Engineering and also prior to the creation of the most recent grenade throwables. So, the suggestion is so it offers some bonus to EFUSS Engineering, a +2 would be good enough, as well as update the list of random grenade like weapons they get (make) every reset.

Cheers.

EFUSS Engineering long predates rogue perks. And there are a number of engineering checks made on various quests/machinery in this new setting especially.  I think it's fine as is, though a larger variety of throwables might be nice.

Well, in that case, I don't see why a perk called "Engineer" doesn't give you bonus in the Skill Engineering. Hence the suggestion.   :)

I've been getting some of the more modern grenades already. An engineering bonus could be good. I posted in the suggestion thread that it would be nice to get some baublium instead of random grenades.

Really? Well, I've been unlucky then, always get the old ones.

Getting Baublium would be sweet yes, but I'm not sure if it would be justifiable for an engineer, more for a scavenger or trader or even a smuggler, since Engineers can technically make the throwables, but cannot make baublium.

I've got some modern ones, I guess that part is fine.

So, the suggestion remains to have some bonus on Engineer. +2? Well, at least +1 I guess

I think a +2 to EFUSS Engineering would be fitting and would not really offer any real mechanical advantage.  Seems good to me.
