I was in the Bowels of the Machine and NVN froze. It booted me, and when I went to log back in, gamespy told me try a different nick. Tried a new one and it worked...went back to holy knight and my PC was gone [sobs].
almost 100% positive login name was holy knight
PC name was Johnathan Smith

"Holy knight" would be the correct login.
One thing you can be really certain of is that we don't delete characters. Even at requests we can be very lazy before it's done. The exception to this is Snoteye, our cherished janitor.
This is no bug.
I find that if I log in using the new launcher and CHANGE THE ACCOUNT. When I enter the vault I will enter the vault of the OLD account, not the new one. So to switch accounts, I have to log in. Change the account, Log out, and then log back in agien. Maybe you just need to do that?
That is not launcher feature. It's nwn feature since the gamespy went offline.
Launcher affects the game in no way once it launches it. It runs it like any shortcut. You indeed will have to log in twice when you change accounts on the fly.
