Title: EfU Playlist
Post by: RagingPurpleGiant on February 22, 2017, 06:03:09 AM
I've been involved in more PvP this last week than the rest of my time on EfU combined. I need a good combat mix going.
What are your favorite songs EfU?

I'm a fan of scores composed by the Square-Enix team myself.

One Winged Angel (The iconic music for a boss that just keeps powering up) plays in my minds eye when people start drinking every potion under the sun.

Battle with Seymour is good too, Maybe I'm a Lion, and Only a Plank between one and Perdition, Battle on the Big Bridge... Gah I can keep going on, there's lots. Made an FF music hakpak for one of my modules a long time ago.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh man.
Yes!

This has been one of my favorite albums lately for EFU though - though, I think I've listened to it a million times. Also I looped it (and two other albums of Paul Lawler in his "Arcane" incarnation for all 10 tomes of Malazan Book of the Fallen): https://paullawler.bandcamp.com/album/gather-darkness-re-mastered

Also, for scheming/roaming/PvP (depends on what is actually playing as there's little time to change the music when you get jumped!)
Raison D'etre, Ulf Soderberg (though much less in the UD than it used to be on Ymph..), Peter Andersson's  "Music for Film and Exhibition", Alio Die, Tangerine Dream, Remote Spaces..
Percival, Marcin Przybylowicz, Mikolaj Stroinski and others responsible for the OST for Witcher 3.
Some Finntroll used to be there too!

Really depends on what character I'm playing at the moment.

This is a little late, but I was quite pleased to see Yat-kha mentioned! How splendid.

I used to be able to put music files into a hak as a sound file, been a while though since I last did that.

I can't really seem to get the music files in a .bmu format to work on my end, but I can re-record some of these tunes as .wav files and put them into a hak if anyone wants to play the music as an area sound IG.

Though if anyone can find a .wav to .bmu converter that works for NWN I'd prefer to try my hand at making a proper music hak

Would that be something people would want?

Also, just heard the Black Mages rendition of Battle on the Big Bridge and was in awe. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LHbYIbleQP8

A link to OneDrive, hak file and a mod with the hak installed, used one of my old mods I was experimenting with scripts on to place the sounds in cause it had a large area all nicely sectioned off for it.

I placed the area sounds as localised sounds so you won't really hear them clearly until your camera is somewhat close to it, but this is an example of using area sounds to play music files, they're all poorly recorded music files off youtube I did years ago.
