Title: Watcher Quartermaster should sell Seeing Potions.
Post by: the law's the law ma'am on May 28, 2017, 10:13:28 PM
Title. Can't add much more. The Duergar in the Canal Ward sells it. But I don't see why a watcher quartermaster wouldn't sell them. Not cheaply ofc, but still.

Half the criminals go invisible.

Agree with the above since Watchers are no longer supplied their amulets from before the colours or bring back the amulets as a favour purchase?

Yeah, I agree the Watchers should have some way to detect invisible opponents.  A 1/day put on one of the Watcher items seems proper.  Not on the armor, though.  Something that would make the Watcher choose between the 'seeing' item and something possibly more useful, but not easily changed.

Earn your favor and buy a powersuit.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with Sem, but...

Watchers are the most inoffensive faction and have a slew of benefits for being readily available to just about any PC who wants to join. Find a brewer or use the numerous stuff already at your disposal.

You say it might be too powerfull but the guy sells barkskin which makes less sense to me..

I'd find it more logical for him to sell Seeing potions as a mere convience.

Right now I just buy them from the Canal Ward so its not like we can't buy them now...

A lot can happen on that long walk to the canal ward.

The potions and equipment he sells (the full plate in particular) are born of an old DM initiative whereby every 10,000 gold in the donation bowl provided the faction with a tangible perk. I'd be willing to wager a DM would be willing to help you out if you were willing to raise the money to further expand the stock of the watcher merchant with more low cost potions. Though there already is a see invis/day item that can be purchased with favor.
