Presently the Public Housing Vault is on the brink of the Starg's Rest quest but I think it'd be cool and helpful to include the Housing Vaults into the questing zeitgeist.
- 2-4 Similar to the Dogshit quest, put some "Scared Clerk" inside the House of Governance who needs to make some delivery to the Housing Vaults and is terrified to go and wants to hire a newcomer to take it for a few coins
- 2-5 Similar to the Bugs of Mycopolis, maybe the Umberhulk Grub Farmer needs some deep burrowing rascals pursued
- 2- 6 A Knight of the New Path who needs a few adventurers to put down a Roachman that has transformed too violently and has bewitched some Mindless Drones to be his violent servitors
A few rough ideas but I think adding some low/mid range quests to the area wouldn't be a bad idea
I've really, really wanted to see the Housing Vaults have some relevant additions added to encourage people to go in there without either being a part of the Collective or meeting with a member. Adding some quests or even a useful NPC merchant with the ability to buy items and sell potion bottles would be really cool. As it stands, most factions have a visible stake in Sanctuary, but the Collective doesn't really give the perception as being any more relevant than what the current group of PC's is doing -- which is a bit of a shame.
Disagree that the faction with a large visible enclave surrounding a chapterhouse within the city's domestic area lacks a "visible stake" in Sanctuary... but do like the idea of adding a few quests. I will see what can be done.
If anything, I would say that it's the Covenant which needs more of an obvious connection to Sanctuary.
Many people would not even consider its headquarters part of the city, unlike the case with the Collective.
I guess I misspoke when I said 'visible stake'. What I meant is that there's currently little to no reason for anyone to go into the Vaults unless they're Collective. Giving it some love with quests or a merchant or something would give people more of a reason to go there. Even if a quest got the orog treatment and had an NPC offering a larger reward for a max 8 quest or something, that might be cool.
