Title: be able to use scrolls that you scribe
Post by: sharkinajar on June 10, 2017, 04:09:48 PM
If you're a cleric or some class that has spells from the opposite type, you should be able to use the scrolls for the spells you know. Doesn't make much sense that you can't use some scrolls that you can scribe.

Do you want to elaborate on this a bit more?

Clerics with arcane domain spells such as mage armour can't scribe mage armour, and wizards with a chosen school become unable to use scrolls of the forbidden school.

You should be able to use all scrolls you 'can' scribe, but you aren't necessarily going to be able to scribe all spells that you know.

What's an example of a spell you can scribe but can't use as per your title?

Yeah for example if a cleric has the Spells domain and scribes a shield scroll, he can't use it, which is kinda silly

This is hard coded. It can be used by all clerics or no clerics. You can't specify by domain for item use.

I can be bypassed however but its a pain. You can have scribe scroll spawn a custom scroll with UOB : Cleric if certain conditions are met. It's thankless work.
