I think one thing that will spur more concepts/players is to add more variety to viable builds. Some perks (All of the barbarian ones and 1/3 of the sorcerer ones) are pretty useless yet very flavorful. Its kind of a waste that these flavorful perks that could spur a lot of new concepts are just never used (EI dreameater perk) bc they are so mechanically bad compared to their peers.
Perks that should be buffed:
Contriver - maybe +2 str instead of con bc mages will always be encumbered with this armor build
Dream Eater - needs more nightmares / day and nightmare should be buffed/extended duration
Hematologist - ???
Hydromancer - needs more cold dmg spells
Infuser - add the old electricity perk to this?
Lifestealer - increase dc of ray of enfeeblement
Tribal Shaman - the lvl 8 power is very weak
Zealous Faith - might be worst perk in efu
All barbarian perks
Thank you
TBH if they added +2 con to contriver that would be the only perk some of us would play, like how 90% of fighters are duelists because of the +2 ac. CON is to powerful. A 23 base con gold dwarf with transmutation focus would get something in the neighborhood of 120-130+ hp at level 8+ before even casting vampiric regen. That's basically never dying. I bet I could figure out how to get 150 hp if you did that but I'm at work so I can't do the math just yet.
Contriver already gives +2 CON, Bob. KreShar is suggesting that it be replaced with +2 Strength, because spellswords can't carry weight very well.
Huh, I forgot about that. Then it's not even really a power creep if I'm beiing honest but I'm not sure it suits the needs of spellsword very well since they're a melee focused class and that +2 str gives you some damage and ab. Though I do realize that's not ideal. What if there was a way to make that spellsword bonus str OR dex depending on the PC?
??? are you talking about contriver or spellsword??
Confusion caused by Nezgul and Bob... Haha.
Contriver & Spellsword are two separate perks, the suggestion is to switch Contriver +2 CON for +2 STR due to weight issues caused by armour. (but tbh with scarce points to use you could probably spend the points you would've put into CON into STR for a similar net effect.)
Maybe Nezzy meant using the Contriver perk in a spellsword style? (Armoured up with a halberd or something casting spells freely)
My own suggestion is the armour when worn by a contriver should have a weight reduction, regardless of whatever is confused up there :P
EDIT: Wow I've been posting in this thread wrong the whole time, You suggested adding STR to contriver and not CON to spellsword. I'm just being dumb. Ignore me.

Yeah, that's what I meant. My bad!
