A tale as old as time they say
One that some men will never know,
A story that I will always remember
Unfolding like an old picture show,
I can never forget the night we met
While watching her drive past,
A smile grew upon my face
And that gladly would not be the last,
She has eyes the color blue
A beauty I had never seen,
We talked all night making jokes
Except of course as we watched the movie screen,
Later we made love together
While laying on that queen,
I thought about how this seemed like fate
Or was it just a dream,
As time went by we grew as one
And slowly becoming more,
We faced the challenges of life
Me and that girl I adore,
Then we created the perfect son
The greatest gift she could give,
As I held him for the first time
I knew then what it felt like to truly live,
If only I could tell you
That this ends nice and good,
Some might say this is sad
If they really understood,
I might as well had put on the jesters hat
And climbed up on a stool,
Then juggled three bowling pins at once
Yes I was a fool,
So this is where my story ends
As I sit here alone just me,
A heart that is broken open wide
Perhaps this was actually a tragedy,
I am sorry that I took for granted
Her unconditional love you see,
I only hope that some day some how
We can one day again be,
Now you know how I lost
The women that I love,
Maybe she can see my heart
I pray to God above!
Rough break, please stay off stools and reach out to me if you need help.
