I know it's not a problem that comes up often given the nature of EFU but recently I attempted to raise a PC and despite having two full sized diamonds I was given the "Unable to proceed no small diamond" message as the ritual failed.
As the server plays up the idea of comparable alignments when it comes to raising the dead would it be possible to see scripted that a full sized diamond has a higher chance at a raise dead regardless of alignment?
It seems silly that two regular diamonds are useless in a raise and a small diamond brings a raise with a percent of fail based on alignment.
Wasn't sure the mechanics that went into it and all but PC raises over NPCs raises is something I gladly encourage
Would rather remove the need for diamonds entirely.
Remove would be nice, I mean slay living doesn't require a ruby??!?!?

maybe it should
If the loss of candle 'gold sink' is a concern:
A compromise would be to have a merchant selling 'diamonds' (or w/e specific component) which can be purchased at 2/3 of a candle's cost.
This way clerics can still be awesome and the gold inflation can be managed.
I understand that raises are special, and often perspective-altering moments for the recipient of the raise. It should remain so, certainly, and not thrown out as a 'commodity service' - but I think our players can be trusted to ensure it remains so.
On that note I would love to see a cleric only store/merchant selling diamonds or ect, maybe holy water, holy symbols, flavor/RP items.
