It seems engineers don't get paid a wage. Might be that the uniform isn't flagged for it.

To be more clear. The WARDER OVERALLS you get in the ENGINEERING SECTION of the DEEP FORGES don't allow the PC WEARING THE UNIFORM to get the faction perk of a wage. I have the LEATHER variant of the armor. I'm sure it's not flagged in some manner is all.
