So after screwing around a bit today I think I've come to the fairly solid conclusion that the Lowerdark bonus for my ranger isn't working.
My character sheet and combat log without buffs was showing +12 vs aberrants while in the middledark and when fighting in the lowerdark the sheet and the combat log was also showing +12. The character sheet has never displayed the skill bonuses nor the AC bonus either for me.
It might be due to the fact that as a Gold Dwarf, Algarn gets the feat for free, but he is getting every other benefit of the perk, so it seems odd that only this one would not work for him.
Zone effects seem to be a bit weird, have you tried resetting your perk in the lowerdark?
I've taken the same FE, and I can confirm that there's no change to my stats while in the Lowerdark - actually, I don't think the perk really works at all, as I haven't noticed my will save increase either.
The Will, Concentration and Healing boosts absolutely do occur, as I currently get them.
I can confirm that this is still not functioning on a level 6/7 Elven Ranger.
Fixed for next reset.
