Unable to cast magic weapon on Slings
Unless I remember wrong, its not something that has been possible at any point.

It works on all other ranged weapons and the wiki stats magic weapon should work on "all ranged weaponry" though it mentions everything by name except slings and throwing weapons. Wiki could probably use a correction to say "except slings" if it's intentional for them to be the one exception.
